Just when ya think, "I just am too old to do this crazy stuff anymore", you find out you really aren't. Well at least when it comes to one of my favorite artists, Phil Vassar whom I have not had the chance to catch up with in quite awhile. So off to the Birchmere Music Hall in Alexndria, VA I went, And to say the quick turn around trip was momentous is an understatement.
The country singer/songwriter has brought us such hits as "Carlene", "Just Another Day In Paradise", "Six Pack Summer", and of course the "I'll Take That As A Yes (The Hot Tub Song)" along with many others that he makes sure to bring to each show.
On Friday night, Oct 20th he brought those hits & more to the Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, VA. Opening for Phil were the duo, Martin & Kelly who have also opened for such greats as Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Lorrie Morgan and more. Check them out at: https://www.martinkellymusic.com The Birchmere is an amazing place that I would recommend to anyone looking for a venue to catch some shows.
Thanks to Adkins Publicity & JDawg, things lined up for us to sit and catch up with Phil prior to the show. He is one of the most gracious, fun and loveable artists that I have spent time with, who never hesitates to make you feel as if you are just shootin' the breeze on the front porch. Also, thanks to my "fun partner in crime" Faith for being my camera assistant. So sit back & join us in catching up with Phil.
