Raised in the wild of Kodiak, Alaska, Lynae has been making her mark in Nashville as a talented singer-songwriter since the release of her self-titled debut album in 2014, but yet she may still be unknown or new to the country music audience. The critically acclaimed album, produced by country star Jamie O’Neal and released by Momentum Label Group, showcased her depth and diversity as an artist with all 12 tracks being co-written by Rachele.
The choice to release the "Guy In The Sky" was inspired by Rachele's dream to benefit charity through her music. "2017 was a rough one for so many people affected by natural disasters. When all the fires started hitting California, I knew I wanted to do something to encourage people to get involved in helping the victims, and I felt like “Guy In The Sky” would be a great way to thank people for giving,” she explains. “It’s really a song about God’s faithfulness in the midst of our chaos… we treat him like a vending machine and He still takes care of us… we’re never alone. This song is meant to provoke thought and introspection while offering hope. For me, it’s really a song of gratitude. I’m so thankful that we don’t have to go it alone, and that it’s not my job to keep the world going. If it were, we’d all be in trouble,” said Rachele with a chuckle.
