Kip Moore has built a fan base that exceeded all expectations. There are actually no surprises to this due to the way he makes them his priority in digging deep time after time to give the best he has. An example is the latest project, 'Room To Spare: The Acoustic Sessions.'
The acoustic EP showcases Kip's signature sound in a stripped-down setting, as his gritty vocals resonate through each track. The collection opens with an acoustic spin on fan-favorite and live-show staple “Plead The Fifth,” and keeps the momentum going with the hook-driven “Tennessee Boy.” The longing and reflective “It Ain’t California,” offers another stand-out moment and also sees him collaborate with upcoming tour mate Charlie Worsham, who has co-writer and studio credits throughout the release.
"The acoustic idea was something that was honestly born from the fans,” says Kip. “It was something I noticed would keep coming back around from them and that I have been promising to put out there. This project has been really cathartic as it doesn’t have the pressures of a full record, and allows you to mix things up a little bit creatively, but also totally strip things down, too. ‘Plead The Fifth’ is a song that is wild out on the road, and so it’s awesome that a song like that gets another life in this form, too.”
Kip also revealed a limited Room To Spare: Acoustic Tour kicking off in Milwaukee, WI on 11/29 and stopping in Des Moines, IA (11/30), Emporia, KS (12/1), and Akron, OH (12/8), inviting special guests Charlie Worsham and Jillian Jacqueline to join him on the special stint.
